Saloua Karkri-Belkeziz is the President Director General of GFI Informatique Maroc and has established it as one of the leading data processing companies in Morocco. Karki-Belkeziz also founded the Moroccan Women Entrepreneur’s Association (AFEM).
EARLY CAREER
Saloua Karkri-Belkeziz worked briefly at France’s Eurosoft and Bull Maroc before she established the data processing house, Professional Systems, in 1987. The company was then acquired by GFI Group and Saloua became CEO of the newly named GFI Informatique Maroc.
ACHIEVEMENTS
At GFI-Maroc, Saloua Karkri-Belkezizis has garnered a client base of more than 200 firms, from small businesses to major international companies to public sector bodies. She is the main driver of the Digital Morocco Plan 2020, a three-tiered strategy that involves the digital transformation of the national economy, establishing Morocco as a center for outsourcing, and strengthening Morocco’s digital rankings to stay globally competitive. Additionally, Saloua is well-known as the founder of AFEM and is a member of the World Bank task forces that deal with women’s issues. She also holds various positions in the General Confederation of Enterprises of Morocco (CGEM).
RECOGNITION
- In 2004, Saloua Karkri-Belkeziz was named “Business Woman of the Year in Morocco" by l'Express, a French magazine.
- She was decorated by His Majesty the King Mohammed VI of Wissam al Arch in recognition of her activism on behalf of women’s empowerment.
- She also received the French National Order of Merit
ADDITIONAL FACTS
Saloua Karkri-Belkeziz is married and has three children. She is the former President of IT GIAC and a member of the "Groupe d'impulsion France-Maroc," a committee dedicated to advancing economic relations between France and Morocco.
