Leah Binder is the president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group, a non-profit organisation that represents companies and individuals who purchase health benefits. Leapfrog aims at advancing safety and quality in hospitals across the United States. Leah is the leading champion of the cause of transparency in the health care industry.
Early Career
Leah Binder launched her career in healthcare when she worked at the National League for Nursing. There she handled communications and policy for over six years. Leah then joined the New York government where she worked as the senior policy advisor for the Mayor of New York City Rudolph Giuliani. She then spent eight years as the vice president of a Farmington Franklin Community Health Network.Joining Leapfrog Group
In 2008 Leah Binder joined the Leapfrog Group as President and CEO. During the first five years of Leah working there, Leapfrog launched initiatives aimed at addressing key health policy concerns like infections in hospitals and early elective deliveries.About the Leapfrog Group
Leapfrog is a patient safety organisation that works with several other organisations around the world to maintain high levels of safety. Leapfrog launched initiatives called the Leapfrog Hospital Survey and the Hospital Safety Score in which an A, B, C, D or F score is allocated to a hospital after analysing medication and medical errors, and infections and injuries resulting from errors made.Leah Binder’s Achievements
