Women Entrepreneurs Can Have it All

Award-winning strategist Racheal Cook believes in helping female entrepreneurs to live their dream lives. Founder of Rachealcook.com and Firedupandfocused.com, Racheal is in a fortunate position to work only 25 hours a week developing her own dream business, helping others to do the same and enjoying her life.

Burnt Out and Despondent

Racheal wasn’t always in this comfortable position. She spent years working 75 hours a week and on Sundays all she wanted to do was sleep. Threatened with a corporate burnout and feeling discouraged, Racheal re-evaluated her path and identified her early goals: travel, flexibility, freedom, and children. She decided to leave the corporate world to make these goals a reality.

Keeping it Simple

Racheal started by simplifying her approach and looking for obvious prospects instead of succumbing to negativity when large-scale opportunity is not apparent. This helped her to achieve clarity and balance in her life. Instead of dreaming of a mansion on the beach, she started spending more time on the beach. Rather than giving up on starting her business when she discovered she was pregnant with twins shortly after it was launched, Racheal started focusing on developing the online side of the business. She avoided large corporations and started working with small business owners and female entrepreneurs.

Making a Dream Life a Reality

By reaching out, lending a helping hand, and building connections with people Racheal showed up for the community. By creating an avenue in which she could serve others she established consistency. With enough consistent community connections, opportunities inevitably appeared. Eventually, Racheal was able to involve her husband who also retired from the corporate world and joined her business. Together they achieved two major goals: flexibility and the ability to spend more time with their children.

Racheal’s Secret to Being Unstoppable

According to Racheal Cook, the secret to being ‘unstoppable’ is simply stopping. By building breaks into her business and respecting the importance of rest, Racheal ensures that she is refreshed and that a lot of the self-imposed stress many entrepreneurs suffer from is effectively dealt with. After all, it’s about making things easier – building a dream life is not about making it harder.
