Inspiring Tech EntrepreneurTrapani started her career as a developer and prolific blogger, before she successfully directed her attention to various business endeavors. In January 2005, she founded the world renowned Lifehacker blog. For most of the first year she remained the sole blogger for the site until two associate editors joined her. Lifehacker's strapline is "Tips and downloads for getting things done." The site, which includes tech content for both advanced and everyday level readers, has an enormous following worldwide. Lifehacker now has Australian, Japanese, Indian and UK versions of the site.
Gina Trapani resigned as Lifehacker's lead editor in 2009, and the young tech entrepreneur is currently leading the development of ThinkUp, a social media aggregation and analysis tool, through the not-for-profit technology incubator Expert Labs. She co-founded the company, and the simple app is designed to give users daily insights about their own behavior and that of their friends on social media. ThinkUp has received widespread recognition and is considered to be one of the most innovative social media companies, with even the Whitehouse using its app.
